Our stay in Indiana was busier than a loose pup in a pet food store. Can you believe it - pesky sister, Pudge and I made an appearance on Chicago's Ch. 56 with host Charlie Blum. He was reviewing the movie, "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" How ironic - whatever that means.
First it was off to the Lake County Sheriff's Animal Adoption & Control Center in Crown Point, IN - right outside of Chicago. (Note: we were going to stop in Chicago, but Oprah was busy!)
I hope this sweet dog gets adopted soon. Quick - call 219-769-7016 and give this cute pup a home!
Inmates from the local jail come to help out. Lucky dogs, lucky inmates!
My dream - all pets will have a home and shelters will look like this - empty!
Top dog April (left) and some very nice human volunteers and donors at the Lake County Sheriff shelter. I'm going across the country to bark about helping these no-kill shelters and raising money for pets in need. But these folks working in the shelters are do all the heavy lifting. They are amazing humans.
Soybean fields! Toto, we're not in New York City anymore.
I swear - no they swear - this was on the side of a barn in IN. ??????? Then we went to a Polling Place in Crown Point, IN where early birds were already voting. I'm so confused! Hey, but at least their voting. Arf-Arf
Lake County Recorder, Mike Brown came down to BARK THE VOTE at the Crown Point Govt. Center aka Early Bird Polling place!
Even Oscar from the Sheriff's office came out to BARK THE VOTE! Finally, we went to visit Alsip Home & Nursery in St. John, IN. They sell lots of Nature's Variety - the best darn dog food in the world. It really is! My pesky sister, Pudge and I eat it every day!
Some of the super staff pose outside the Alsip Home & Nursery Super store.
Top dog Sharisa and staffmate ham it up for Nature's Variety! Now it's off to Madison, WI for some much needed sleep, before we go to Minneapolis.
